| I think the Ibanez Vintage acoustic listed in Kurt's equipment is an Ibanez V300L that I sold him in 1991. I work at a Music 6000 in Olympia, WA and we sold the Nirvana guys lot's of gear back in the day. We even have a display of receipts up on the wall. I also worked on a bunch of Kurt's guitars (installing pickups, ect..)Thought you might want that info. |

| I GREW UP IN HIS MUSIC ERA, THE LOSS AND SADNESS FOR LOSING SUCHH A ARTISTIC INSIRATION, THE LOSS OF A SMALL CHILD WHO WAS TO YOUNG TO REMEMBER HER FATHERS BRIGHT BLUE EYS, NOW ONLY IN MEMEORIES AND FILM FOOTAGE. WITH A HEART AND SOAL SO HUGE HE NEVER THOUGHT HE WAS GOOD ENOUGH. AN OVER ACHEIVER, CONSTANTLY TRYING TO PLEASE TO THE POINT ON MAKING HIMSELF SICK. I TO HAVE THE STOMACHE ISSUES AND THE CHILD ABONDONMENT ISSUES, IM ALMOST EXACTLY 4 YRS. OLDER THAN KIRT TO THE DAY. AND I HAVE BEEN BLESSED ENOUGH TO FIGHT THE DEMONS OF NEEDING UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, AND THE FEELING OF LONELINESS THAT HAUNTS YOU FROM CHILDHOOD, KNOW MATTER HOW FAMOUS HOW MANY AWARDS YOU WIN, OR HOW PROSPEROUS YOUR NEIGHBOR FRIENDS OR FAMILY THINK YOU ARE, WHAT HE FAGHT AND DELT WITH EVERYDAY WAS REAL AND EXTREMELY HARD, MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY. I ONLY WISH HE HAD LIVED LONG ENOUGH FOR PEOPLE TO BE MORE OPEN ABOUT IT,SO HE COULD HAVE GOTTEN THE TREATMENT HE NEEDED FOR THE CHRONIC PAIN, THAT IN ITSELF IS ENOUGH TO DRIVE SOMEONE TO THE BRINK OF DESTRUCTION,GOD BLESS HIM AND HE IS NOT IN PAIN ANYMORE, AND A LOVEING KIND GOD KNOWS WHEN SOMEONE HAD NO CONTROL. HE IS TRULY IN HEAVEN, AND GOD BLESS FRANCES, YOU SUFFERED A GREAT LOSS, MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.... [snipped] |

| Nice site for gear hounds! I despised Nirvana in the 90's. About 8 years ago, my brother died of cancer. On the way to Virginia for his funeral, "Heart Shaped Box" came on the radio. It broke my heart. I went and picked up the retrospective album that included MTV's unplugged sessions and an unreleased song. As a "play from the heart" musician, I now realize how much I missed out on back then.
Good job on the site, bro, good job. |

| I love Kurt Cobain and as a song writer i can honestly say he is one of the best, and vocally he was amazing. Todays music has no meaning or substance. He created a legend. I would do anything to have Kurt Cobain alive again and sure as hell would trade any fucking bands from today for Nirvana to live on, who knows what they could of become. This makes me depressed. Forever in my heart you will stay.

| Just to correct some fans who think they are quoting Kurt Cobain.
"Better to burn out, than fade away." Kurt took from Neil Young, Neil Young made that up, not Kurt.
"I'd rather be hated for who I am, then loved for who I am not." Kurt took that from Andre Gide. Andre Gide made that up, not Kurt Cobain.
NIRVANA's still awesome! |
| John Burke from USA said: |
| I think you have the wrong lyrics written on your site on a few Bleach songs at certain points in the songs. Kurt Cobain's lyrics are hard to understand, and it would have been nice if he wrote them in the book for his album.. o well. I don't know if I'm write, but take a look at what I've always thought the lyrics were.
I have always thought the opening lyric to Negative Creep is
"This is out of our rage"
not "range"
I always thought the Lyrics in Scoff at the chorus were
"Heal a Million
Peal a Million
Kill a Million"
You have it as
"Give me all your... (live: Still a failure)
Give me your
Love
Fuck"
I have always thought the second verse in Mr. Mustache he says "Rightioustation".. maybe not because that's not an actual dictionary word, but new words are cool.
I have always thought that the last line for the Sifting verses he says
"Sun felt numb"
you have
"some fear none"... [snipped] |
